Workshop PGH DIY school

Our main mission is our do-it-yourself school, offering classes in Wood, Sewing & Textiles, Art, Plants, Fiber Arts, Leather & more. We started in 2009 and offer over 60 classes. Right now our in person classes are on hold due to Covid until there is a vaccine. However, we do offer limited online classes via Zoom here and many more at Workshop SF. Since it’s on the internet- you can take them anywhere. We also make our own DIY kits & goods available in store and online.

SHOP.
We are now located at 5131 Penn Ave in Garfield and are open Thu-Sun for shopping (masks required). You can also shop online for shipping, pick up or local delivery if you are within 5 miles of the shop (15224). Shipments go out 1-2x a week.

COMMUNITY.
Workshop is all about the community here. We are an inclusive space and promote makers, artists and welcome all. We create various fundraising kits that support the community and social justice organizations. We support LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC makers in and they create 20-30% of our inventory/ goods.
