The Design Lab at Orleans Tech

The Design Lab at Orleans Technical College (OTC) opened in December 2022, providing a unique space with the tooling and machinery to engage in prototyping, small-scale manufacturing, and custom goods manufacturing.  

In addition, the Design Lab serves as a bridge between our parent organization, JEVS, Orleans, and the broader Philadelphia community.

The Design Lab is owned and operated by JEVS Human Services and located on JEVS’ Orleans Technical College campus.  In its nearly 50-year history, Orleans Tech has provided career and technical education (CTE) that has transformed lives.  Our mission is to combine employer-driven instruction with career development to expand economic opportunities for our students and the changing workforce.

Yijie Zhu is the Lead Design Lab Instructor and manages the Design Lab’s day-to-day operations.
